Job description

At the University of Deusto we are currently seeking candidates to fill the above position in the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences to teach subjects included in the curricula of the Faculty's bachelor's and master's degree programmes.

FIELD OF STUDY

Lecturer and researcher preferably with experience in the field of morphosyntax.
The position involves performing teaching and research functions in the specific field of study, and may involve carrying out academic administrative tasks in the future.

WE OFFER

Joining the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences team at the Bilbao campus. Expected start date, 1 September 2023. This is a full-time job. The salary will be based on the experience and skills of the successful candidate and in line with the professional career development of the Teaching and Research staff at the University of Deusto.

Requirements

Qualifications:

PhD in Linguistics or similar level of qualification
Experience as a university lecturer and researcher in the above areas.
English level required: C2.
A positive assessment as a Private University Lecturer / Associate Professor by an Official Quality Agency (ANECA / UNIBASQ), equivalent foreign qualification, or commitment to obtain a positive assessment within two years.

The following will also be considered an asset:

Experience and participation in tutorial plans, coordination of undergraduate or postgraduate programmes and having delivered or participated in online training courses.
Spanish level required: C2 (at least C1).
High impact publications as well as participation in competitive research projects are highly valued
Having a knowledge of Basque language or willingness to learn it will be considered an advantage.
