Purpose of the position:
The researcher will be fully integrated into BIOTECH Lab, contributing to both the eVIDA 4.0 and Biomechatronics research lines. They will bring expertise in health-related applied technologies, addressing both human and environmental health, including technological solutions within the field of “Biomedical Engineering 4.0.”
The activity will be applied to various medical specialties (oncology, dermatology, gerontology, cardiology, omics, etc.), as well as to areas affecting environmental health, such as climate change and food safety, in alignment with the team’s focus on the ethical and social analysis of innovative technologies applied to resilient health ecosystems.
The researcher will collaborate with the team in the following technological areas: artificial intelligence (both classical and with quantum computing), biosensing and the Internet of Things, biosignal processing (1D, 2D, 3D), virtual and augmented reality, and 3D manufacturing, among others.
In addition, they will actively participate in the formulation and implementation of competitive research projects, joint scientific publications, and knowledge transfer initiatives aimed at public administrations, the productive sector, and civil society. The researcher will also contribute to the development of participatory methodologies and training activities focused on the responsible adoption of technological solutions, thereby strengthening the team’s interdisciplinary dimension, scientific impact, and strategic projection.
