Permanent Research Associate position at the Deusto Institute of Technology - DeustoTech

The University of Deusto invites applications from outstanding candidates interested in joining the university as a Ikerbasque Research Associate, through the 2021 call launched by Ikerbasque - the Basque Foundation for Science. The call offers 10 permanent positions for postdoctoral researchers. These positions are financed by the Basque Government and the host institution where the researcher will develop his/her research.

Deusto Institute of Technology - DeustoTech (http://deustotech.deusto.es/) located in Bilbao (Spain), is the research institution of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Deusto, created with the mission of promoting research and postgraduate training in Information Technology and Communications (ICT) at the service of society and industry. DeustoTech currently participates in 17 different H2020 projects, coordinating 5 of them, promoting a creative and challenging environment with international researchers and PhD students.

DeustoTech is looking for established researchers with 8 to 12 years of postdoctoral experience in any of the following areas:

• Artificial Intelligence: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Data Science, Predictive Analytics, Optimization, Natural Language Processing, …
• Pervasive Computing: Internet of Things/People, Human Computer Interaction, Collaborative Robotics, …
• Advanced Computer Systems: Quantum Computing, Blockchain, Edge Computing, High-Performance Computing, …

This permanent position is directed to researchers willing to develop a long-term scientific career at DeustoTech and are expected to perform independent research, capable of attracting competitive funding and leading their own research lines. This call is implemented through the Ikerbasque Permanent Positions Call 2021.
