Orkestra – Basque Institute of Competitiveness is a centre for analysis and debate on territorial competitiveness. Orkestra was created in 2006 within the Deusto Foundation at the University of Deusto. The Institute is the result of the different strategic, private and public initiatives which converge with the aim of building competitive societies and enterprises as a key condition for prosperity and welfare.
Orkestra looks to employ a full time researcher to develop a research project with the objective of implementing an Observatory for Vocational Training and Dual Vocational Training in Spain. This Observatory looks to become a tool for the analysis of vocational training, with a comprehensive systematic approach including the regional dimension, while creating scientific knowledge and developing policies.

Enhance the area of knowledge on vocational training and more specifically the implementation of the Observatory for Vocational Training and Dual Vocational Training in Spain:
The successful candidate will identify synergies from the project with other action lines and research projects at Orkestra, in the field of competitiveness and productive specialisation, hiring and employment in the work market, as well as identifying the main trends that allow the performance of the vocational training and dual vocational training systems to be contextualised and valued.
